1. Booking & Confirmation

All bookings with HJ Cabs are confirmed via WhatsApp or phone call. No advance payment is required. Your booking is confirmed once you receive a confirmation message from our dispatch team. We reserve the right to decline bookings at our discretion.

2. Fares & Pricing

• All fares displayed on our website are estimates based on distance and vehicle type, including driver allowance (bata).
• Final fare may vary slightly due to actual route distance, traffic diversions, or waiting time beyond the included free waiting period.
• Toll charges, parking fees, state permit fees, and hill station surcharges are payable by the passenger and are not included in the base fare.
• Payment is collected at the end of the trip by the driver in cash or UPI.

3. Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations made more than 1 hour before pickup time: free of charge.
• Cancellations within 1 hour of pickup may incur a nominal fee of ₹100–₹200 to compensate the driver for preparation time.
• No-shows after the driver has arrived at the pickup point will be treated as a cancellation with the applicable fee.

4. Passenger Responsibilities

• Passengers must be ready at the agreed pickup time and location.
• Passengers are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of pickup and drop addresses provided at the time of booking.
• Behaviour that endangers the driver or damages the vehicle may result in the trip being terminated without refund.
• Children below 12 years must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

5. Waiting Time

For round-trip bookings, the driver waits at the destination for up to 4 hours at no extra charge. Additional waiting time beyond 4 hours is charged at ₹100 per hour. For one-way bookings, a free waiting period of 15 minutes is provided at the pickup point.

6. Limitation of Liability

HJ Cabs acts as a facilitator connecting passengers with drivers. We are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, or circumstances beyond our control. Our maximum liability in any dispute is limited to the fare paid for the specific trip.

7. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of courts in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
